From politics (moderates who lean to the right) to Pogo (drools during poker stare) to rants (Whatcha expect from savvy, sassy sexagenarians?) to raves (Have you had your kudo today?) -- we never take ourselves too seriously.
We do, however, reserve the right to slaughter an occasional sacred cow. And in case we fail to mention it -- we will never forget....
This is likely the most amazing wildlife video ever recorded.
A young buffalo -- snatched by lions, who (in turn) must pull him from the jaws of a crocodile -- is dramatically rescued by his herd.
For those squeamish souls who weep at the sight of an injured animal -- not to worry.
The young buffalo walks away -- not briskly, mind you, but he is rescued from the teeth of certain death ...
Amazing. Totally amazing.

Sandy August 8, 2007 02:37 PM PDT The most amazing display of "animal loyalty" I've seen in the wild. I had no idea bulls and cows would fight as a herd to protect their young. I knew that bears would, but .... amazing indeed.
