From politics (moderates who lean to the right) to Pogo (drools during poker stare) to rants (Whatcha expect from savvy, sassy sexagenarians?) to raves (Have you had your kudo today?) -- we never take ourselves too seriously.
We do, however, reserve the right to slaughter an occasional sacred cow. And in case we fail to mention it -- we will never forget....
Commission vs Advisory Council: Today, Senator Obama said: "Senator McCain offered up the oldest Washington stunt in the book: you pass the buck to a commission to study the problem. But here's the thing: this isn't 9-11. We know how we got into this mess. What we need now is leadership that gets us out."
Apparently, then, we can dismiss Senator Obama's call for commissions on Social Security (11/2007), torture (9/2007), war crimes (8/2008), and financial oversight for Wall Street (4/2008) as "the oldest Washington stunt in the book."
It is interesting how Obama not willing to take the lead (unless you consider biased polls, of course).
Let's see -- he wanted to jeopardize more troop lives by asking the Iraqi's to delay a withdrawal plan until he was (ahem) president. Now he (initially) declined to follow McCain to DC to resolve the Wall Street crisis ...
Are we to assume that he anticipates being the financial "saviour" when he (ahem) becomes president?
God help us if he gets his hands on taxpayer's monies ....
IMO --
This man is intent on implementing his One World reforms, pushing us toward the socialist state his father dreamed about.
See his Global Poverty Fund ... ummm ... he just said (live TV)," We need to help those in need without them having to help themselves ..."
See his Global Education Fund ..... See his Global Development Fund .... See his Global Enterprise Fund ....
America doesn't need a One World solution. We need a homeland solution. Obama envisions his father's socialist dreams; America needs a leader who envisions OURs. And NOW.
